This just in… Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood have been seized by H1N1 Panic and taking no chances have isolated and quarantined Piglet!
Pooh’s lovable friend and side-kick was spared no sympathy as many residents are blaming him for the entire swine flu pandemic! Late Friday night (Devil’s Night), Piglet’s friends and neighbours, overcome by the influences of the almost full moon and the media scare tactics surrounding the current H1N1 Pandemic, took it upon themselves to kidnap and isolate their good friend Piglet fearing that they might all contract Swine Flu from their association with their former friend.
Donning n95 surgical masks and vinyl gloves to protect themselves the mob came upon the unsuspecting piglet while he was getting a drink from the neighbourhood well. Read More »

Hallowe’en is here! Now that Aaron’s 4 he’s understanding the ritual much better and very much ‘into’ it!
Sara’s best friends joined Chris, Aaron and her to take him around the street for a while.. Chris met up with a couple of his friends and headed out for an hour of trick-or-treating.
Sara and her crew dropped Aaron back home and mom took him out to finish the street, while I drove the older kids down a few streets to a friends house and left them to their own devices to trick-or-treat their way home..
Great fun was had by all! We didn’t get a large turn out but it picked up a bit and was far from our worst showing…. Happy Hallowe’en everyone!

I recently picked up the BlackBerry Tour 9630 SmartPhone. It’s AWESOME! So far, very very happy with my new tool.
If you’re thinking of taking the plunge and getting a SmartPhone, take a quick read: Blackberry vs iPhone orionsweb.
Don’t hesitate to comment or ask me anything. I took over 2 months going through hundreds of possible options for phones before deciding on the Tour.
Hope you find something useful!
This past Friday evening, while driving home from Wild Water Kingdom, west bound along Mayfield Road just north of Georgetown, the Boyd family was in awe of the beautiful sunset they were witnessing.
While taking pictures, Mrs. Boyd had thought she’d seen, “Something flash by incredibly quickly, out of the corner of my eye.”
Upon reviewing the photos she’d taken, it was discovered that she’d actually captured the vapour trail of an UFO!
When asked to comment, NASA experts were at a loss for words. 24 hours later the Canadian Government had called in a recovery team from NASA. They assembled in the field that the craft had launched from. Within short order they’d stripped the landscape bare, confiscating and removing any and all evidence.
The Boyds’ are just excited to know for sure that we are not alone…
We had an awesome spring camp this year!
Mrs. Bagheera put together an excellent spring camp for us at Country Heritage Park in Milton.
We arrived Friday night (most of us between 7 and 7:30 pm). 12 Cubs, 2 Scouts, 7 Scouters and 1 Trooper.
Camp was set up and we decided to share a pavillion with the 92nd Brampton Guides. Honestly with flush toilets, running (potable) water, electric lights in the pavillion, access to indoors to store our food and supplies… it’s really hard to call it camping lol.. It wasn’t even hard to put in the tent pegs!
On the other side though we can still classify it as ‘roughing it’ as Hathi, Mang and Akela went out of tune on a few songs… Oh and we did sleep in tents and it rained from 2am Friday night off and on through till late Saturday night. Read More »
What an awesome day for the walk this year! We got ourselves up ready and off, arriving at Streetsville Memorial Park around 8:30am. Shortly after our arrival we realized we forgot all our pledges!!!!! Luckily, they have the online numbers at the registration desks and we were able to send in the rest after the walk!
Very cool.. I mentioned to one of the staff that it would be nice to be able to purchase t-shirts for those that don’t get over the $100 in pledges.. eg. Aaron. Well he said “Just a minute,” and went and found one just the perfect size for him! You should have seen the smile, getting his own Walk Shirt!
Christopher also lucked out, they’d run out of his prize (> $250 received a jacket) so he was bumped up to a back pack! No one at his school has one like that now! lol Read More »
